I've used Merkur's (sp) and find the Derby Extra's to be comparable.
On price, shipped to my door (PA), the price is lower than Personna's purchased from Wal-Mart!
(that's $.14USD delivered if I remember correctly).

I am going to place a second order for Derby's, I feel the value and quality is there and justified (Oh, forget about the Personna DE blades sold at Wal-mart, slipshod quality.)

P.S. You must be careful in using your Derby's, but that goes for all DE blades.

I had been looking for a double edged razor because of my sensitive skin. The other two, three, and more blade razors destroy my skin. This razor doesn't do that at all. It gives a close smooth shave with no discomfort. If you have never used a double edged razor like this before, it takes a little while to get used to, but once you do you'll fall in love with it. Also it comes with 100 blades, which each blade is good for at least 2 shaves. Refill boxes are inexpensive as well. Will be buying more of the blades when I start to run low.
Great value, almost the best quality... maybe the best

I've tried two brands of double edge razor blades, Derbys and Merkur Double Edge Safety Razor Blades- 3 Packs of 10 Blades - 30 Blades in Total- Made in Germany. Both provide great shaves. The Merkur blades may be slightly sharper and last a bit longer (in most cases). However, they also cost about three times as much. You can't go wrong with either and my feeling is the Derby blades provide slightly better value.

I discuss this in a bit more detail on my list "Getting a great shave". The link to it is [...] (though I'm not sure if Amazon will allow that link to stay in my review).
Good products and good price.

The blades I received was the new "vertical" Derbys. These blades are really diamonds in the rough. If you use them as is, they are very rough on your skin and can very easily cut you. The way to fix this is to "cork" the blades, that means very gently slicing them into a piece of styrofoam a couple of times on each side before loading them into the razor. Check out the Badger&Blade website for more information on vertical Derbys and corking.

When corked, the blades are very sharp, supersmooth, long lasting and simply a joy to use. Easily the best blades I have.

The Arko stick is wonderful, it makes thick and lovely lather. I have to order more of these.

These blades are good and cheap. I can get about 6 to 7 shaves per blade and that's with shaving only every other day. The included soap has a very strong scent but once you get past that it produces a very smooth shaving slope. I can only compare these to merkur blades which I didn't like as well. Only complaint is that the containers for the razors are not recyclable plastic but I bet they will be eventually.
